The Aphem species is a open species with little boundaries. These creatures were designed by Haley Moncrief, also known as Rosario-Red, with a small group of friends that offered aid. These people were Brenna Hyatt, Emiliann Kucharek, Jayde Elle Nicole Crocker, Johan Thoren and Koko Lee. Thanks to the help provided, the Aphem species was brought to life in October, 2017!

The Aphem's were once thought to be nothing but legend no different than a Unicorn or Mermaid. Tales about these small creatures had been shared throughout a range of cultures, and most had claimed that these small beasts had the power to manipulate clouds to their will. Aphem's were occasionally rumored to be gods, and small villages had been known to have celebrations for them.

Aphem's were fabled to be winged creatures with paws and hooves, with long tails and slim, striking faces. Through this vague description, many old-age artists had attempted to depict these creatures however none were horribly accurate. In fact, these creatures are far more complex in appearance alone than what had been stated in old tales. These creatures do in fact have these traits, however they have other defining features and builds as well as a secondary set of eyes for thermal vision.

Approximately 100 years ago in 1917, however, there was a incident with a novice hiker. Jeremy Aphem had embarked on a dangerous hike not suitable for novice hikers on his own. He had gone missing for weeks, but was eventually found by a group of hikers. Sadly, Jeremy did not survive in the mountains. However, his body being found had resulted in one of the volunteer's spotting a strange creature hopping about in the trees of the mountain. Reporting her findings, a small group of curious scientists ventured back to the area and after months of searching and research, they returned home to announce their findings of Aphem's, who they named after the deceased hiker.

Forty years passed before Ahpem's were being captured and sold on the black market. These creatures were extremely docile and easy to tame, and no laws were in place to prevent Aphem's from being owned, and traded. Twenty years after the Aphem's were being sold on the black market they had become a officially legal pet to own, and in the recent years breeders and registry's have popped up across the globe.
